Mark L. Moster, MD

Mark L. Moster, MDMark Moster, M.D. is an Attending Surgeon on the Neuro-Ophthalmology Service at Wills Eye Hospital and Professor of Neurology and Ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He is the Director of the Electrophysiology Lab at Wills Eye Hospital. He also holds appointments at Drexel University, Temple University, and Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he is Chair of Neuro-Ophthalmology.

Dr. Moster trained in Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed a Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship at the Wills Eye Hospital. He has been an active lecturer nationally and internationally and is a member of the Education Committee of the American Academy of Neurology. He serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology and is Editor of the Literature Commentary Section. He currently serves on the board of directors of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS).

Dr. Moster has authored over 80 articles in the peer-reviewed literature and many book chapters. He lectures frequently in the Philadelphia area and as an invited speaker at national and international meetings. Dr. Moster has participated in clinical research in neuro-ophthalmology and has received support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for studying central nervous system control of saccadic eye movements. His current research interest is the visual function in neurodegenerative diseases. He has been a Philadelphia Magazine Top Docs™  award winner in 1991, 1994, 1996, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2013 and 2014.
